AmCham's HR Companies Address the Issues

AmCham asked a selection of HR member companies to respond to several questions regarding workforce performance on the Slovak market, workforce potential, and changes since Slovakia´s entry into the European Union.

1. In your opinion, do companies use the services of recruiting companies more often than in the past few years? Which services are the most sought-after? How do you cooperate with the HR departments of your clients?

2. How do you perceive the workforce potential of Slovakia? What differences did you notice in the recruiting market after Slovakia entered the EU?

3. Do you have any experiences regarding searching for job positions for Slovak citizens for international companies? Have there been requests from foreign employers looking for Slovak employees?

Amrop Jenewein Group, Martin Krekáč

1. We consider the current situation in the Slovak market with Executive Search, Management Consulting and Recruitment services as highly developed. This is also thanks to the many international companies entering the Slovak market in recent years, whose HR policies are adjusted to work closely with Human Capital Consulting Companies and already know the benefits of such cooperation. Amrop Jenewein Group was established in 1990 and were pioneers in the development of Executive Search & Human Capital services and methodology and standards in the Slovak market. The most required search services from our clients are Executive Search, mainly for C-level and Senior & Mid-level positions, Recruitment Services for Mid-level positions, and High Potentials. More complex consulting services are Management Appraisal, Organizational & Process Audit, Compensation Planning and Potential Analyses. In recent years, we also established services for Leadership & Talent Acquisition and Coaching, Corporate Governance services, which are currently required not just by the Business Sector but also by the Government and Public Sector.

2. According to our last study with Business Alliance of Slovakia (BAS) regarding Human Capital, we assumed Slovak Human Capital as one of the most developed in the Eurozone, with a large potential for further growth. Slovakia is becoming an investor´s paradise and many investor who, before accesion considered Slovakia as a risk investment, are now entering Slovakia, thanks to our long-lasting cooperation with foreign investors (AJG has a special FDI Practice dedicated to investors), sector orientation, local knowledge and the global reach of our consultants. AJG is benefiting from the current situation.

3. Most of our Human Capital services are provided to our clients who are prestigious international blue chips of family-owned businesses (FOB). Because of the proven success of local managers in Slovakia, many of our international clients request services in the area of Acquisition of Local Leaders or Talents for their Regional or Worldwide Headquarters.
