JENEWEIN GALLERY: Broken promise I GENTA FILM

A few films also have their place in the Jenewein gallery. One of them is the full-length war drama Broken Promise – Nedodržaný sľub (SK I CZ I USA), the distribution of which we supported for its high quality and deep human message. The film by screenwriter Jan Novák and director Jiří Chlumský, based on the motifs of Martin Petrášek's book Broken Promise, was successfully released on cinema screens in 2009 by the production company GENTA FILM. At the time of its premiere, we watched the film reconstruction of the atypical but real-life story of Martin Friedmann-Petrášek, a Jewish boy from the town of Bánovce nad Bebravou, at a special screening in the premises of the Astorka Theater in Bratislava. The film won a number of awards at home and abroad, including nine nominations for the 2010 National Film Award Sun in the Net or awards at festivals in the USA, Portugal, Monaco, the Czech Republic, and Brazil. It also became a Slovak candidate for nomination for the most prestigious film award Oscar in the category Best Foreign Language Film for 2009. The connection with the successful film Broken Promise was part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Jenewein's presence on the Slovak and Czech markets, which we commemorated with various activities throughout the year 2010.
Jenewein gallery is a virtual gallery that presents a selection of art, music or advertising works created in the history of the Jenewein Group.
