PROJECT MINERVA

We have become a partner of project Minerva which is based on Competitiveness Strategy for the Slovak Republic until 2010 – National Lisbon Strategy. The main goal of the project is to create activities for supporting development of the knowledge based economy in the Slovak Republic, which is the only way for Slovakia to achieve a sustainable living standard comparable to the developed countries of Western Europe. Activities of the Minerva Project focus on four main areas: human resources and education, information society, inovations – science – research, and the business environment. The National Conference of Minerva: "The Strategy for the Competitiveness of Slovakia until 2010" took place on January 20th, 2005 under the auspices of the Slovak Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda. At this conference, Martin Krekáč, member of working group for an Education and Employment action plan, gave a speech "From resources to capital", at the "Human resources and education" section of the conference.
